Las Minas Puerto Flamenco

Las Minas Puerto Flamenco presents 11 award-winning artists from the most prestigious competition of Cante Flamenco in Spain: Cante de las Minas Festival.

Las Minas Puerto Flamenco is a unique show of hundred minutes in which the artists show the special talent for which they have won an award in the legendary Festival Cante de las Minas. Eleven artists perform on stage, each one a star in their speciality, in a unique, non-stop spectacle in which participants interact with each other. The singing is accompanied by guitars, dancing and percussion, Flamenco flute and saxophone and Cajón.

The reason for the creation of Las Minas Puerto Flamenco lies in the unquestionable relationship between music and ports, which have been the home and starting point for all kinds of artists. Voyages to the Americas were made by boat and products from the Far East came in boats along the silk routes. Ports were a trade hub, and, indeed, a place for celebration, day and night.

The best of the Festival is a journey through the history of Flamenco that has passed through the ports of Spain and interacted with the music from the port world. Coplas, mineras, cartageneras, soleás, malagueñas, alegrías, fandangos, cañas and bulerías are the main items on the menu of this flamenco show. It is, in short, the essence of Flamenco.
