A Focus on Spanish Dance at Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival

Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival, in collaboration with SPAIN arts & culture, presents a week of Spanish dance as part of its 2018 Festival season, from July 25 to July 29.

Jacob’s Pillow is a National Historic Landmark, recipient of the National Medal of Arts, and home to America’s longest-running international dance festival. Each Festival includes more than 50 national and international dance companies and over 350 free and ticketed performances, talks, tours, classes, exhibits, events, and community programs.

The 2018 edition of Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival’s special focus is on Contemporary Dance from Spain, from July 25th to 29th. Companies participating in this special program represent a myriad of contemporary dance in Spain, including Madrid-based Compañía Sharon Fridman in their U.S. debut in the Doris Duke Theatre. Free, outdoor performances on the Inside/Out Stage will include Marcat Dance on July 25, and The Carmen Fumero Dance Company on July 27.
