The Spanish Wave at SXSW 2025

“The Spanish Wave,” the Spanish music internationalization platform by Live Nation Spain, will be present for the third consecutive year at “South By Southwest.”

The project will be part of the 2025 edition of the festival with its already traditional Showcase & Fiesta, featuring performances by Chlöe’s Clue, St. Pedro, and La Cendejas, along with the Texans Sultanes del Yonke and the Mexican Amantes del Futuro. All of them will perform a showcase on Wednesday, March 12, at the official reception party Meet the Spaniards, an event designed for accredited delegates from around the world, as well as fans, to meet Spanish professionals and artists in person.

The Spanish Wave is a Spanish talent internationalization project led by Live Nation Spain, in collaboration with the SGAE Foundation. Its goal is to support the export of emerging artists and bands from Spain by participating in showcases at the world’s most important fairs, festivals, and music events, with the presence of both national and international industry professionals.

SXSW is one of the longest-running fairs in the international music industry. Held annually in Austin, Texas, since 1987, it combines conferences, concerts, and professional gatherings that bring together artists, creatives, entrepreneurs, and music industry leaders from around the world. Recognized as a global showcase for emerging talent and a meeting point for creating opportunities, SXSW combines cultural and professional trends, fostering collaboration and the exchange of ideas.

Chlöe’s Clue

  • On Wednesday, March 12, from 7:10 pm to 7:50 pm.
  • Chlöe’s Clue, Raquel Adalid from Valencia, blends childhood imagination with the ordinary world in an ironic and delicate manner. Her project has evolved through her latest three albums, establishing her presence at major festivals in Spain. She has performed in the UK (The Great Escape in May 2025 and ILMC), France (Silencio Club), and Chile, and collaborated with the renowned Mexican duo Daniel, Me Estás Matando. This work showcases a contrast where she maintains her neo-folkloric roots, this time using a bossa nova foundation, reinterpreted through a virtual and playful lens.

La Cendejas

  • On Wednesday, March 12, from 9:10 pm to 9:50 pm.
  • Paula Cendejas began her career in 2013. Her talent was discovered by music producer Alizzz, and since then, her career has continued to rise. Recently, she was selected by Billboard Latin as one of the 12 Spanish artists to watch in 2024 and also recognized as one of the top Hispanic artists by Rolling Stone. With Paenamorar, the first preview of Tsunami, Cendejas reached the fifth spot on Spain’s Viral Top on Spotify. Additionally, this year she was highlighted by the renowned platform COLORS Studio, recording her session at their Berlin studios. In recent months, she has also been featured in editorials for Elle, Vogue, and Vanidad, among others, to mark the release of her new work. Back in 2022, the Madrid-born artist was selected by Forbes as one of the most influential figures of the year.

St. Pedro

  • On Wednesday, March 12, from 10:10 pm to 10:50 pm.
  • St. Pedro is the alias of Canary Islands artist Pedro Hernández. After becoming a finalist on La Voz España in 2017, he signed a record deal with Interscope Records and a management agreement with the prestigious company Lionfish Entertainment, led by Rebeca León. In early 2024, St. Pedro secured second place at the renowned Benidorm Fest with his song Dos Extraños (Cuarteto de Cuerda), one of the most highly rated entries by both the professional jury and the public. His debut studio album, Esta Vida Que Elegí, was released in February 2024 and represents a journey through the Latin American styles that have influenced the popular culture of the Canary Islands since the early decades of the 20th century.
