Sónar North American Tour is a travelling event taking place on one night and in a single space, in venues with a capacity of between 2,000 and 4,000 spectators. Sónar adapts the spirit and personality of the festivals it organizes in various countries to a concert hall, combining live shows with dj sessions and audiovisual creation.

Sónar is the International Festival of Advanced Music and Mew Media Art created in 1994, which is held in Barcelona for three days every June. The festival has regularly travelled beyond Spain's frontiers since 2002, with events in different places around the world, adapting the Sónar philosophy to unique venues and environments, and highlighting the most interesting homegrown talent and the scene in the city where it takes place.

True to the essence of the Sónar brand and its benchmark festival in Barcelona, the line-up of this tour contains artists from several countries (South Africa, Canada, Germany, France, Britain and the US). and outstandingly diverse musical approaches, with electronic dance music providing the backbone for the occasion.

On the road with the Sonar North American Tour will be the South Africans Die Antwoord, who Sónar are bringing back by popular demand after their successful U.S. tour this summer. As they did at the last two editions of Sónar Barcelona, Yo-Landi Vi$$er, Ninja and DJ Hi- Tek, will shake the foundations of hip-hop and the rave spirit, presenting tracks from their two extraordinary albums live: $o$ (2010) and TEN$ION (2012).

Sonar North American Tour is also pleased to confirm the Canadian quartet Azari & III, the undisputed regenerators of house; the American techno and house producer, dj and remixer Seth Troxler, a man at the zenith of his career; Germany's Paul Kalkbrenner, who will bring his live show for the first time to North America and also present his new yet untitled album 2012; the Canadian dj and producer Tiga; one of the heavyweights of the new French electronic school, Gesaffelstein, and the British dj and producer Nic Fanciulli.

The Sonar North American Tour will touch down in Chicago, Toronto, New York, Montreal, Boston, Denver, Oakland and Los Angeles.

New York's line-up includes Die Antwoord, Azari & III, Seth Troxler, Paul Kalkbrenner, Tiga and Nic Fanciulli.
