Fundación Casa Patas presents Karen Lugo on U.S. Tour
Flamenco dancer Karen Lugo has garnered critical acclaim for her interpretation of classical flamenco, as well as her passionate style and incorporation of elements of modern dance.
Direct from Spain, Fundación Conservatorio Flamenco Casa Patas promises a thrilling adventure with new lead dancer Karen Lugo.
Along with dancer José Maldonado and their eclectic instruments and voices, this performance will inspire and uplift by taking us on "the winding roads of flamenco" where its "styles and rhythms invite us to a remote place where sadness, sanity, passion and instinct coexist."
In 2010, UNESCO listed Flamenco as an "Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.”
This three-day engagement is presented in collaboration with Seattle’s Honorary Consulate of Spain.
