Carlos Núñez: Talk, live music and Q&A

Connections: Celtic & Latin Music.

If it’s possible to become a pop star playing traditional music on the bagpipes and recorder, Núñez could be the man. He is handsome and performs with kinetic flair and his playing had the presence and sense of freedom and vitality that are qualities of all exceptional musicians.

—Los Angeles Times

Carlos Núñez has always followed the natural connections offered by his homeland, Galicia, in Spain: Ireland and the Celtic countries, the Camino de Santiago, the medieval Galician-Portuguese culture that made its way to Brazil, the Galician emigrants to Cuba, Argentina or Mexico, flamenco and the music of the rest of Spain.

Núñez is currently touring North America to present his new CD featuring The Chieftains, Ry Cooder, Sinéad O'Connor, Los Lobos, Jackson Browne and more.
