Tribute to Xavier Montsalvatge
Roundtable Between Europe and the Americas at the Instituto Cervantes New York.
As a preview to the concert in celebration of Xavier Montsalvatge's music, which will be presented by the Morgan Library on September 28, participants will discuss the role of the Europe and Americas on his music, which reveals echoes, on the one hand, of Ravel and other French composers and, on the other, his so-called "Antillanist" aesthetic and the influence of jazz.
