'El Día del Español'

International celebration of the Spanish language and Hispanic cultures at Instituto Cervantes New York.

Nothing spells party like fiesta! Come join us on El Día del Español, a unique day of celebration of the Spanish language in New York!

Instituto Cervantes wishes to engage all New Yorkers in this open block party to celebrate a language that is spoken by more than 400 million people. El Día E will offer a street fair full of games, free performances, activities for the whole family, and food and drinks, with which we will celebrate the variety and richness of the Spanish language and the cultures of all the Spanish-speaking countries and communities.

El Día E is an international celebration of the Spanish language and Hispanic cultures! Organized by Instituto Cervantes for the first time in 2009, this year it will take place once again with renovated enthusiasm in the 73 Institutos Cervantes that are spread throughout the world. The 2012 edition of El Día E will be held on Saturday June 23rd, from 11 am to 4 pm.
