Barcelona Ballet (formerly Corella Ballet)
Spain's Barcelona Ballet (formerly Corella Ballet) returns to New York City Center for a second engagement following several successful U.S. tours.
Artistic Director Ángel Corella will dance with his company in a program featuring Clark Tippet's Bruch Violin Concerto, Christopher Wheeldon's For 4, and the world premiere of Pálpito, a full-company ballet by Nuevo Ballet Español Artistic Directors Ángel Rojas and Carlos Rodríguez.
In the vein of Soléa, the flamenco-inflected ballet that was the hit of the company's 2010 City Center season, the work fuses classical ballet and traditional Spanish dance.
Register to be eligible for two free tickets.
Shows on Tuesday, April 17 and Wednesday, April 18 at 7.30 pm; and Thursday, April 19 and Friday, April 20 at 8.00 pm.
