It is produced by Quest Visual Theatre, a Maryland-based award-winning organization that is internationally recognized for its innovative work in visual theatre and its leadership in welcoming people of diverse backgrounds to the world of theatre. Catalonia will be present in this festival with two shows!
- Los Caneca
- An enjoyable show that leaves an impression! The perfect blend of acrobatics, juggling, humor and audience participation. Nano and Tite are the stars of this show. One is reserved and clueless, the other more elegant and stretched, but they have a common goal. You’ll smile and have a good time in this unique experience.
- Los Caneca Show: March 27 at 3:00 pm at Imagination Stage, March 30 at 12:00 noon at Gallaudet Mall and March 31 at 11:30 am and 1:30 pm at Gallaudet Mall.
- Education schedule (Los Caneca): March 28 at 1:00 pm: Acrosports at the University of Maryland; March 29 at 9:35 am: Acrosports at GW University.
- Chez Leandre
- “For 13 years I have been participating in this privileged world of street theatre festivals. 4 shows have been my schooling. With Street Tease I tripped over the fine line that separates humor and poetry. I fell in love with street theatre, in the street, for the street. In Fragile I balanced on that fine line and discovered drama. With Play I discovered a new depth to public interaction, what the right now is made of. And finally, Démodés where I have shared the almost forgotten history of the traditional clown. AND NOW WHAT? What else can I contribute? I have very few answers. I want to be open to surprises. I want to live here, infront of the public, with the public. I want to share all that I have experienced during the past 13 years of good luck”.
- Shows: March 27 at 4:00 pm outside Barnes and Noble in Bethesda, March 28 at 12:00 noon at Freedom Plaza, March 29 at 12:00 noon at Gallaudet Mall, and March 31 at 10:30 am at Gallaudet Mall.
