'Brisa en el Cervantes'

'Brisa en el Cervantes'

Javier Moreno, double bass player and composer based in New York, mixes contemporary jazz with the impressionistic Mediterranean legacy of Federico Mompou and the folk roots from Enrique Granados.

The trio Javier Moreno New York Ensemble exposes a very high interaction between their musicians. Their artistic approach is guided by a very strong melodic identity and through this fact the subtle ambient of Música Callada from Mompou finds a perfect space.

The energetic explosions with ‘free’ spots featured by the Contemporary Jazz side meets the ideal atmosphere in the rhythm and pulse of the Oriental Dance of Granados, giving a colourful sense to the final and unique musical picture.

High-level professionals of the current jazz, flamenco and ethnic music scenes, Javier Moreno New York Ensemble explores new exciting musical ways searching for a peculiar sound which contributes with fresh air and energy to the international vanguard.
