Artisphere presents La Shica, winner of the 2011 Spanish Music Award for Best New Act.

Sexy, sinuous and beautiful, singer and dancer La Shica twists her own version of flamenco by mixing hip-hop, reggae and bossa nova with her flamenco dance moves. Her band, an acoustic trio, draws from influences as diverse as Brazilian music, funk, la copla and jazz. La Shica won the 2011 Spanish Music Award for Best New Act.

This is one of a number of complementary programs celebrating the Frida Kahlo: Her Photos exhibit at Artisphere.
