The Venezuelans in NYC Festival and Instituto Cervantes receive Mr. Marcos Purroy and his recognized play Red Wolf (Lobo Rojo) to represent Venezuelan contemporary dramaturgy in the second edition of the festival.
Red Wolf is a shocking and powerful play full of visual violence that tells a new and different interpretation of the classic little red riding hood tale, framed in great Latin-American magical realism. This play was first read and performed in Paris, France, and now it comes to New York City to tell a not-so-typical fairy tale. This time the story begins with a dead grandmother, and a sick love that will literally last forever.
