'Memory Remains: 9/11 Artifacts at Hangar 17'

A major installation by Francesc Torres in commemoration of the tenth anniversary of the September 11, 2001 attacks.

The International Center of Photography (ICP) and The 9/11 Memorial Museum with the support of the Institut Ramon Lull, will kick off the festival on September 9 with Memory Remains: 9/11 Artifacts at Hangar 17, a major installation by Catalan artist Francesc Torres that is part of Remembering 9/11, a photography exhibition on view through January 8, 2012.

Remembering 9/11 portrays how New Yorkers of all kinds-firefighters, construction workers, police officers, artists, photographers, and ordinary citizens, as well as government agencies-responded to an immense, unthinkable occurrence.

This exhibition is supported by The Institut Ramon Lull and is part of the Catalan Days Festival.
