Berklee Flamenco

Led by pianist and Madrid native Ariadna Castellanos Rivas, and composed of great musicians from Spain, Puerto Rico, and the Middle East, Berklee Flamenco will explore the soul-stirring musical traditions of the Mediterranean rim.

The group is directed by the Latin Grammy-winning songwriter and producer, Javier Limón, a visiting professor at Berklee throughout 2011–2012. The Berklee Flamenco concert will celebrate the opening of the new Berklee international campus in Valencia, Spain. The Berklee Valencia campus will start offering graduate programs in 2012 and will contribute to fulfill the college's 2015 vision to become the world's leading institution in contemporary music education.

Each year, the conservatory Project present America’s greatest conservatories to the public, in the Kennedy Center, free of charge. This will be Berklee’s eighth consecutive year presenting its best students as part of the series. Showtime is 6:00 p.m., and while no tickets are required, early arrival is encouraged.
