14 days / 14 artists: young creators
In this second edition and for another period of 14 days –from April 13 to April 26, 2020– 14 young and emerging Spanish artists will transform the confinement caused by the Coronavirus into creative material.
The Consulate General of Spain in New York aims to promote these Spanish creators and artists and show how their work during this quarantine. We also want to distract you during this difficult period, get inspired, and feel connected and busy. Finally, we encourage you to bring out your most creative side, and present your work on social networks with the #14Dias14Artistas hashtag.

Flamenco dancer
Marta Gálvez is a Spanish Dance and Flamenco dancer born in Córdoba in 1994. She received the Outstanding Dancing Award (“Premio Bailarina Sobresaliente”) in 2015. She is currently works with the following dance companies: María Pagés, David Coria, José Porcel, Jesús Carmona and Juan Carlos Avecilla.

Professional parkour athlete
Alberto Gómez Tribello is a 25 year-old professional parkour athlete, winner of the World Cup FIG Parkour Speedrun in 2019 and second place winner of the 2019 World Urban Games in men’s speed category. He works as a stunt teacher at the Dance International School of Performing Arts in Tres Cantos, Madrid.

Aina Bestard is an illustrator and designer who lives between Barcelona and Mallorca. She is the author of the book trilogy What’s hidden in… (Qué se esconde…), a series of books based on optical illusions that has been translated into 15 languages and sold more than 200.000 copies worldwide.
