GRANTA: The best of young Spanish-language novelists

Building Bridges: Spanish and English Language Writers in Conversation is a literary tour in major US cities featuring some of the Best Young Spanish Language Novelists, from May 16th to May 25th.

As part of this unique tour, Busboys and Poets will host a roundtable/discussion between some of the Best Young Spanish Language Novelists Andrés Barba (Spain), Javier Montes (Spain), Alberto Olmos (Spain), Antonio Ortuño (Mexico), and renowned American authors: Peter Manseau and Azar Nafisi. Marie Arana, Writer at Large of The Washington Post will moderate the table. Valerie Miles, Publishing Director of Duomo Ediciones and cofounder of Granta en español, will introduce the authors.

The tour will start in Seattle on May 16th at the Elliot Bay Book Company; travel to San Francisco at Books Inc at Opera Plaza on May 17; then to Chicago on May 19 at the Cervantes Institute; Washington, D.C. on May 20 at Busboys & Poets, and end in New York at The Center for Fiction on May 23, McNally Jackson Bookstore on May 24th, and at the Book Expo America 2011 and 192 Books on May 25th.

A glass of Spanish wine will be offered to the attendees at the end of the roundtable. This event is free and open to the public.
